Eaton and certified partner Natural Power Solutions (NPS), have teamed up to design a custom power management solution for an automated vehicle bollard security system at a WA shopping centre.
Integrating with the car park security system, the customised Eaton 9SX UPS solution aims to pave the way for further opportunities in the security market.
“Physical security is a top priority for public places such as shopping centres, particularly at vehicle access points and entryways.
Owners and operators continue to invest in automated solutions that provide real-time visibility and reliability – with back-up power a critical component in maintaining 24/7 protection,” NPS managing director Mark Sewell says.
Eaton engineers customised the solution working at Eaton’s Late Point Definition Centre in Sydney with four modular Eaton 9SX 15/20KVA uninterrupted supply (UPS) systems in ExoCab Outdoor Enclosures.
“The 9SX 15/20KVA UPS offered a compact modular solution that is scalable, energy-efficient and reliable, with zero transfer time to a battery and continuous filtering of power. While the marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel ExoCab Outdoor Enclosures delivered IP54 rated protection to withstand harsh outdoor conditions,” an Eaton spokesperson says.
“The success of this project will allow us to deploy similar solutions for a broad range of security applications.”
Power Quality ANZ general manager John Atherton congratulates the NPS team on the successful deployment.
“This project shows the value of partnering to locally customise systems and therefore reducing the need for on-site integration while ensuring reliable power to critical infrastructure designed to protect people and businesses,” he says.
