Critical infrastructure provider Natural Power Solutions has expanded its operations to New Zealand by opening an office in Auckland.

NPS has been operating in Australia for more than 20 years and includes Emerson Network Power, Schneider Electric and Eaton among its vendor roster.

The company has appointed Cliff Chapman as its new business development manager in New Zealand.

The expansion is being supported by key vendor Emerson, which will provide technical services and training programs.

Emerson’s ANZ channel director, Mo Kandeel, said: “We’ve seen NPS transform its business model over the past five years to a full turnkey solution provider and look forward to supporting this new business.”

NPS managing director Mark Sewell said: “We decided the time was right to expand into New Zealand as many of our customers were opening businesses there and wanted us to continue to support their power and cooling needs.

“We are delighted to have Emerson Network Power’s full support on our expansion and in particular Emerson’s support of Cliff. The sales enablement training provided by the channel team will enable us to provide simple UPS sales right through to full turnkey SmartAisle containment solutions,” added Sewell.
